In The Movies, you can make any type of movie you want. Make it war, horror, romance, thriller, whatever- the decsion is yours to make. You can also choose the clothes the actors will wear, the vocals, looks, even names; you can put you or your friends in the movie buisiness and see if they become famous or, well, just, not famous.

 

For every movie you make, a short trailer is made, too. A webpage is then automaticalley created and the trailer goes on that page, where it can be downloaded and watched by other owners of The Movies. It also tells the other owners the name of the movie, release date, and actors. After a person watches your trailer, he/she can then rate the movie from a 1-100. Each month a contest is held to determine the best movie. The winner is awarded an email congratulating him/her and they might even get a prize.

 

Since The Movies starts in the 20's, all of the films are silent until audio recording is discovered. Then comes color, better special effects, new camera techniques, 3D vision, and more. You can make the first war movie, the first film with color-again, the decsion is up to you.

 

You can sign the vobody actors or the most famous ones in history. But if you want the good stuff, you know what you'll need. Yup, you guessed it. Money. How like life. But just because you give them money doesn't mean they'll give you 110%.

 

I'm going to be expecting a lot by the time The Movies comes out, and if it disappoints, I will be truley saddended. Expect the game on the shelves by 2004. Don't forget to check for my review on The Movies as soon as it comes out!
